pollinator + people friendly

a world without pollinators is a world without food.

merit flowers rejects the idea that plate friendly can’t also be pollinator friendly - we grow native + pollinator supportive edible flowers for our fragile and critical Colorado bee population.

the best chefs exalt nature and tell stories on their plates. by incorporating hyperlocal petals with benefits, you’re inviting your guests to look beyond themselves: and into the future of food.

about the grower

victoria studied environmental studies at SUNY ESF before completing a 2 year horticultural program at the New York Botanical Garden. she has worked on wineries, organic farms, rooftop gardens, and more than enough restaurants.

after relocating to Denver in 2020, she’s been involved with Wild Ones Front Range and People and Pollinators Action Network, devoting her time + backyard to cultivating a space for Colorado’s critical pollinators. merit was born out of the need for more diverse pollinator friendly options on our plates - before it’s too late.

merit flowers are grown on a small urban plot in the sunnyside neighborhood of Denver.
